Second NY Triple Crown prep and looks like a great betting race with a score of *4* thanks to two 10-1 morning line shots in top 3 of our sheet.

Nine horse in race and pace looks honest.  The top 3 horses on sheet all show early speed.  If they go too quick the 2 & 5 will benefit greatly.

#1 ShackQueenKing - Top horse in sheet at 10-1 gets B grade.  Horse has excellent early speed and a good draw.  Ships up from Laurel and steps up in class but not a super field and horse will try to go wire 2 wire.

#2 Royal Number - Finally wins NW1x at LRL with LASIX on.  Beaten badly (6 lengths) by #1 back in December and is shorter odds.  Will take a stand against this one.

#3 Capo Kane - Won a weak Jerome race.  Was able to set a slow pace on a muddy track.  Now horse is 3-1 and may go off favored.  Not on his bandwagon yet.

#4 Mr. Doda - Took 6 starts to break maiden going 5.5F.  This one may get sent for lead and force a hot pace.  But horses also could get outrun early.  Hard to say but what horse does will affect race in significant fashion. Either way this horse will likely finish last.

#5 Risk Taking - Morning line favorite off a MSW win with blinkers on.  Showed major improvement.  Is fastest on ENERGY at 94 and will benefit from a fast pace.  Figures to be in the exacta but a huge underlay.

#6 Overtook - $1M perfectly bred yearling broke maiden in 3rd start in slow time.  Cancel chooses #5.  No thanks.

#7 Donegal Bay - Broke maiden wire 2 wire at Gulfstream and now ships up here to face a weak G3.  $90K Uncle Mo colt is not a good sign.  Doesn't figure to get the lead again and prefer others.

#8 Civil War - Way too slow and will contend with #4 on who takes last.

#9 Eagle Orb - NY bred badly beaten by #3 in the mud.  Was unable to keep up early in that race and figures to take back in this race as well.  Not sure this horse wants 9F.  Certainly an overlay at 10-1.

Bottom Line - The 1,3 or 5 figure to win this race and the #9 is an overlay I would use underneath.  The #1 is the value bet in the race and will try to go wire 2 wire.  The #3 will be right there with the #1 early but the pace of race depends on what the #4 does.  If #4 takes back #1 or #3 will win.  If he pushes pace the race sets up for the #5 at short odds.
